I have attended a meeting with President Fuad Masoum, which also included a number of experts, analysts and academics at the Salam Palace in Baghdad on the Monday of February 20th 2017. Where a frank, realistic and analytical discussion took place about the current Iraqi situation and from my side, I’ve talked about the necessity for paying attention to the other side of the war on ISIS, as the majority of the international community and conferences solely focuses on the military side, and avoids or neglects investigating the reasons for the emergence of this terrorist group and the means to counter their ideology and the repercussions of this war on the humanitarian, social, cultural and developmental aspects and to prevent the emergence of newer copies of these terrorist organizations under different names…
