The battle of liberating Tikrit is considered to be one of the most important military achievements in the war against ISIS; the field superiority of that battle is due to the following factors:
It showed high-level military coordination between the troops of the PMF and the Armed Forces.
It exceeded the traditional contexts in facing sniper fire and dealing with explosive devices.
It used maneuvers and alternative axes in addressing the tunnels the enemy used to cross through.
It used the missions of the fighting and supporting ranks to serve the battle goals in an extraordinary momentum.
It showed the ability of the Iraqi fighter to use modern weaponry and understanding its techniques.
The high spirits, brave surge, and high preparation were the features of the combat performance of the participating forces.
As of the political aspect, this achievement came opposite to the American will and timing and their plans in the area, as Washington has already publically objected on the intentions of the Iraqi government and through the media, and recommended to slow down with the Tikrit and Mosul operations until the completion of what it described as the preparations and readiness, and risking the results. And that is what explains the hesitation and delay in providing air support and intelligence information to the participating sectors in liberating the city, even though that came later, it wasn’t on the required level.
What is historically counted in favor for the Iraqi government is that its patriotic decision was firm and resolute in determining the zero hour and engaging the battle…
And it should be mentioned here that Washington has recorded a new objection in past few hours on the participation of the PMF in liberating Al-Anbar!!??
Here we stand in front of the American reservation for purely political reasons related the regional situation and the heated struggle over power and interests with Tehran, in addition to the anticipation, caution, and concerns expressed by the countries of the region publically, and in the backstage corridors of politics…
For that the requirement for the current phase at the very least, is to create a distortion to the achieved victory in Tikrit, if not destroying its results and national, military, and spiritual values, and targeting it politically and throughout the media with a vicious and organized campaign that uses intelligence methods that aren’t in anyway less dangerous than the physical war itself. And that is precisely what happened, is happening, and will happen later on in other areas if no resolute procedures were taken that can upgrade the control prevention measures of anti projects, double agendas and the enemy’s rodents that are stuffed and scattered everywhere… as this victory was achieved through the blood of the brave martyrs and the efforts of the sacrificing heroes, and I certainly believe that the leaders of the PMF will not allow it as well as the PMF’s reputation to be exposed to distortion or abuse, or any type of violation to what has been achieved and to their clear image and great historical value…
