We’re bleeding in Al-Anbar … and their eyes are on the Baiji Refinery!!!???

(In Washington the priority is to the Baiji refinery and not Al-Ramadi…!!??) … We stated in our previous article (Who controls the Anbar crisis\ analysis of the situation) that the US doesn’t care about what’s happening in Anbar and currently only focuses their interests and military efforts into the oil refinery in Baiji and considers it with the Mosul city a critical priority in their strategic calculations. They do not care as much if Al-Ramadi falls into the hands of ISIS or not… the level of importance to their leaders of any development in the war situation is only measured by the extent of possible damage to American interests…!!??

And to confirm this opinion (as a witness of its people bore witness) John McCain, chairman of the Military Affairs Committee, criticized the Pentagon yesterday in the US Congress for abandoning Al-Ramadi, the capital of Anbar governorate and focusing on the Baiji oil refinery, and he expressed in his statement issued from his office on Friday that; dismissing the strategic importance of Al-Ramadi is a denial of reality and an insult to the families of hundreds of soldiers who perished while “liberating Al-Ramadi” from the under the hand of ISIS (as he described)…

The criticisms are stated as a reply on what General Dempsey, the chief of staff of the US Army, said which included “I very much rather for Al-Ramadi not to fall, but if that happened, it won’t be the end of the campaign”…

General Martin Dempsey

That is the way of thinking of the American leaders who look at the ongoing war on Iraqi land, from the narrow angle of their interests, completely ignoring the victims of war and what follows it of destruction, devastation, displacement, migration, humanitarian, environmental and physical catastrophes of no limits…

In that lies a message to all the evolved individuals who bid on the American resolve that puts even the level of fire in the air support to the measures of their politics and interests. We are not demanding letting go of the partnership with America as that is rather unrealistic, but responsibility requires looking with the eyes of national interests in the hesitating position of the US administration towards the crisis and distress that Iraq is going through, and instead, searching for alternatives to support the country’s efforts in its war on terrorism, also the current developments puts the politicians, especially the brothers in Anbar, in front of patriotic demand that requires reconsideration of the rash and unfair stand against the PMF, and they are required to raise the restraint off of their participation in the liberating operations and move away from the American stand towards hanging onto the unifying common grounds that unite the ranks to face the critical occurring challenges…
