In light of the Anbar struggle\ responsibility is an honor and an attitude … and not a trophy!!??

Al-Anbar is going through the most dangerous crisis in its modern and ancient history. The crisis has two faces, security and humanitarian. The security face is the aggression of ISIS and what they brought from dooms and destruction to Iraq on the general level, and to this governorate in particular until Al-Anbar and its cities became a scene of missions, conflicts, destruction, and settling scores. And the conflict about it has reached the interior of the US administration as John McCain, Chairman of the Armed Forces Committee, criticized the Pentagon in the American Congress for ditching Al-Anbar and focusing on Baiji and its refineries. He is not criticizing out of care towards Iraq, as he expressed in his statement his resentment for the Pentagon for ignoring, what he described as; the families of hundreds of dead American soldiers who died during “liberating that area”, according to his suspicious claim!!??

In the mean while, General Martin Dempsey, Chief of Staff of the US Army, states that he doesn’t prefer the fall of Al-Ramadi but if that were to be the case, it wouldn’t be the end of the campaign!!! And he adds that the Baiji refinery is necessary because it provides the Iraqi government with money and power!!?? And he withdrew from that conflict to the inside of Iraq, more specifically to Al-Anbar governorate. The meeting of the American ambassador with the provincial council headed by Sabah Karhout on 11 April 2015 was a reflection of the situation that complicated the condition and worsened it by the issuing of firm controversial statements refusing the participation of the PMF in the battles of Al-Anbar, criticizing the government, and deepening the political, social, and sectarian division during a time where we need to unify the ranks and unite the word to face the ongoing challenges. This unsettled condition of confusion and conflict encouraged ISIS to hold a surprise attack on more than one location in the east of Al-Ramadi, where they were held up by thhe defending sectors who engaged with them in vicious battles in populated areas, which caused the second face of the crisis which is the humanitarian side, which is represented in the migration of tens of thousands of civilians into different directions running from the battles and refusing the humiliation of falling under the authority of the murderers and thieves of the corrupt criminals of ISIS. Most of the immigrants are children, women, elderly, or sick people, which requires urgent action for this case before it aggravates and turns into a new burden pressuring the ongoing Iraqi crisis…

But what is interesting in this catastrophic scene is the disappearance of officials from Al-Anbar governorate and their hiding away from the crisis, which raises important questions:

Where are the Anbar Provincial Council and its chairman who speaks from Erbil, wears a nice suit, and dyes his hear with the finest dyes??

Where is the Governor of Anbar??

Where are the governorate politicians and its representatives in the Parliament??

Some are in Jordan and others are in Erbil, Emirates, and Baghdad!!

Aren’t you the representatives of the suffering people of Anbar??

Shouldn’t you be among your people while they wander off looking for shelter??

Where are the morals of honor, nobility, and virility in what is happening, Anbar officials??

If the rulers are not among their people in prosperity and severity, then they are of no good…

If leaders are not among their soldiers in battle and at the front, then they are of no good…

If politicians don’t commit to their words and promises, then they are no more than frauds and arrogant decievers…

We of course exclude all who stand on the lines of fire defending their land and their people’s honor and who live the suffer with the ones laying on the ground with their eyes to the sky certain that The Merciful won’t forget them after the politicians of the platforms and the warlords have let them down…

To the leaders of Anbar and its politicians… responsibility is an honor and an attitude, and not a trophy…
