The grand religious leader His Highness Al-Sayyid Ali al-Husseini al-Sistani – May he blessed with a long life – warned from the risk of the aggravating crisis Iraq is going through and from the major consequences if no true correction path was taken. The office of His Greatness said in reply to a questions asked by the France-Presse agency (If no true correction efforts were implemented through the restless chase of corruption and achieving social justice on all aspects, then it’s expected for the situations to worsen more than ever and maybe leading eventually to what no home-loving Iraqi would wish upon their country from division and so – Allah forbid- and he considered that; The politicians ruling the country in previous years take most of the blame for how things ended up now, as they didn’t take in consideration the public interests of the Iraqi people and only cared about their personal, sectarian, and factional interests and split the governmental positions among themselves according to that not on the bases of reliability, integrity, and justice. And they practiced financial corruption and allowed it to even spread into the governmental institutions on a wide spectrum, all with the absence of appropriate planning to what we witness today from bad economic circumstances and regression in the public services, adding: if it weren’t for the spread of corruption through several state institutions especially the security ones, and the bad use of power by the ones in-charge, ISIS would have never been able to take control of a big division of the Iraqi lands.
The eloquence of the message and greatness of the approach and the advice
He is the light emerging from darkness to send hope to the souls exhausted from patience, injustice, suffering, and long dreams, and an honest prayer, a fair word, and a trusted good advice to all of the Iraqis. Including:
- Those who seduced by power and enslaved by money, forgetting their duties and abandoning their responsibilities.
- Those who were reason for the spread of corruption and loss of land and wealth.
- Those messing up the wheels of correction and muddying the waters for their own personal gains.
- Those that didn’t listen to the people’s voice and the cries of the vulnerable and oppressed.
- Those that don’t response to the sound of wisdom and logic or what this stage needs.
- Those that challenge the will of the people that refuses corruption, regression, and bad management.
- Who make accusations against protestors and ignores their legitimate demands.
- The government and its leader to continue the path of correction and fearlessly fight corruption.
- For the protestors to practice their rights and peacefully deliver their voice.
This is the sound of wisdom and conscience, and a good guidance for those that swayed from the right path. This is a warning call for those who became arrogant, made mistakes, and inisted on following the corruption tide of injustice and dirty money. It’s a warning for those trying to obstruct the path of correction with bad consequences. It’s the hope supporting the vulnerable, oppressed, and everyone who loves Iraq and cares about its unity. It’s a healing cure for the country’s bleeding wounds. It’s the spirit speech and the hope for the patient people everywhere throughout the county’s land, telling them to be patient, unite together and fear Allah as prosperity is the companion of patience and Allah is with the united over the corrupt, thieves, and the vicious ISIS.
