
The Americans see Al-Anbar as a powder keg and that the trigger must be in their hand. And if they depend on Gerasimov’s approach in running the security and military crisis in the area, then they are ready for direct intervention and combat in Al-Anbar not just to eliminate ISIS but also to put their hand on and control the fate of the area (the Akkas oilfield, Akashat phosphate mine, Uranium reserves in Al-Anbar desert, plus the strategic position) and use it in a new geopolitical and geopolitical scene that breaks the old rhythm and to impose new rules in the game in the area.
